One home or nine, the same shape

A single registered home and a group of nine have the same problem in different sizes: the information that matters is spread across the people who happen to hold it. CareOptix makes the home the unit everything hangs off. Open a home and you get its occupancy, its rating, its staff and its open records; open the all-homes view and you get the same picture across the group, without anyone compiling it. Adding a second home does not mean a second system or a second spreadsheet — it is another row, with the same workspace behind it.

Who sees what

Role-based access runs down the same structure. A support worker sees the home they work in; a manager sees theirs; a Responsible Individual sees the group. That is not only a privacy control, though it is that — it is what stops the platform becoming unusable as you grow, because nobody is scrolling past eight homes' worth of records to find their own.

The view an inspector asks for

Most inspection questions start at the home: how many young people are placed here, who was on shift, what has been logged. Because every record belongs to a home, that question has an answer without a search across five systems — and the same is true of the group-level question a commissioner asks when they are placing.

Questions about homes and locations

Is there a limit on how many homes we can add?

The licence includes a set number of homes and you can add more at any time; pricing scales with the homes you run rather than the number of staff using it. Only active homes count towards the allowance — archive a home and its place comes back.

Can staff be assigned to more than one home?

Yes. Staff records sit at the organisation level and are assigned to the homes a person actually works in, which is also what drives what they can see.

Young people records

Everything recorded about a young person in one timeline, in the order it happened — so the story of a placement can be read rather than reconstructed.

Rotas and scheduling

Shift patterns applied in bulk rather than typed out again each week, with bank and cover staff on the same rota as everyone else, and the week's reviews and contact sessions on the same calendar.
